In the below analysis we present the current situation of the unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak leveraging four niche, global, information sources that provide regular updates of the cases and deaths globally and per country. We rely on the data from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the Johns Hopkins University, the World Health Organisation, and the Worldometers statistical website.

The following timeline charts depict a global overview of the total number of confirmed COVID-19 incidents by date, as officially reported by the four sources, starting from January 22, 2020 to the present day.

The data are obtained on a daily basis and are accumulated to a time interval of a few days and providing authoritative views of (Chart.1) the number of reported cases, (Chart.2) the number of deaths, and (Chart.3) the change of the mortality pace at global level (% of number of deaths/total of deaths).
